So, I was rummaging around Pinterest drooling over all of the amazing hot, wintery (and alcoholic) drinks people make this time of year, wishing I had the skill or the attention span to make any of them. This then resulted in me stood pondering over my kitchen cupboards wondering how I could make something sinfully delicious to warm my bones on a cold winter evening. I don’t have much in the way of zest or sprinkles or random fruits/herbs I’ve never heard of – but I do have more Jack Daniel’s whiskey than your average twenty something, so… *in the Powerpuff Girls narrator voice*
THUS, JACK’S SWEET DREAM WAS BORN!
It was heaven. HEAVEN! If you’re a fan of hot chocolate and whiskey, read on!
Ingredients
- 1 small mug of milk
- Hot chocolate powder
- Half a shot glass of Jack Daniel’s honey
- Half a shot glass of regular Jack Daniel’s
- Whipped cream
- A handful of marshmallows
- A sprinkle of cinnamon
- Chocolate sauce
Method
In a saucepan heat the milk (any kind you want) on a low heat until warm. Stir in your powder (I use sachets but a few teaspoons of your favourite works too) until the milk is smooth and chocolatey, which should take about a minute.
Measure and add both JD flavours and continue to stir for about twenty seconds. Add in a sprinkle of cinnamon. Stir for another twenty to thirty seconds and then remove from the heat.
Pour the hot chocolate in to a large mug. Add whipped cream, marshmallows and chocolate sauce. Sprinkle a little more cinnamon.
